Responsibilities
- Complete assigned technical projects and incorporate feedback from mentors, managers, and peers.
- Execute scoped technical tasks end-to-end that support Pinterest products and infrastructure.
- Build, test, debug, and improve code, scripts, automations, internal tools, and data workflows.
- Investigate technical issues using logs, data, and documentation; help identify root causes and validate solutions.
- Participate in scheduled engineering on-call coverage during regular workdays and working hours with guidance.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Product, Sales, Operations, Support, and external partners on technical requirements and solutions.
- Improve reporting, monitoring, documentation, sample code, and support processes.
- Use approved AI tools for research, coding, analysis, and documentation while validating outputs and protecting confidential information.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in an education program working toward a bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, or a related technical field.
- Expected to obtain a bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related technical field by June 2028.
- Foundational understanding of programming, debugging, and testing through coursework, projects, or prior experience.
- Experience writing and debugging code in at least one of Python, Java, JavaScript, or C++.
- Clear technical communication, thoughtful clarification, and effective collaboration skills.
- Comfort working with structured data in tables or CSV files and using spreadsheets.
- Experience using AI tools for learning, research, or technical problem-solving, with responsible validation of outputs.
Benefits
- Two internship periods are available: May 17, 2027–August 6, 2027, or June 14, 2027–September 3, 2027.
- Work may be hybrid, with in-person collaboration approximately 1–2 times per week, or fully remote within approved locations.
