Responsibilities
- Build and maintain backend API services using Python and FastAPI.
- Develop responsive front-end applications using React and Next.js.
- Implement end-to-end application logic connecting user interfaces, backend services, and data layers.
- Build REST, GraphQL, and event-driven integrations across internal and external systems.
- Implement secure API authentication and authorization using patterns such as OAuth2, JWT, and SSO.
- Apply automated unit and integration testing, code reviews, secure coding, documentation, and maintainability practices.
- Lead and manage end-to-end deployments through CI/CD pipelines in collaboration with DevOps teams.
- Contribute to logging, metrics, tracing, troubleshooting, caching, session management, and application state handling.
- Work with relational databases, ORM frameworks, data modeling, and efficient data-access patterns.
- Collaborate with architects, designers, product owners, platform engineers, AI engineers, and other cross-functional team members.
- Contribute to reusable engineering components, coding standards, delivery practices, knowledge transfer, and vendor-to-internal capability transitions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- Typically 5+ years of full-stack development experience in production environments.
- Demonstrable experience delivering end-to-end applications including user interfaces, API services, and integrations.
- Strong Python development skills and hands-on FastAPI experience.
- Experience building modern front-end applications with React or Next.js.
- Strong understanding of API design, service-to-service communication, error handling, and integration patterns.
- Experience with relational databases, SQL, ORM frameworks, and data modeling.
- Understanding of secure development practices including input validation, access control, and secrets handling.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and cloud environments such as AWS or Azure.
- Hands-on experience with GitHub Actions and/or Jenkins for pipeline automation.
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Bicep, plus configuration management.
- Preferred experience with AWS services including Lambda, ECS, S3, RDS, CloudFront, and API Gateway.
- Preferred familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes deployments, frontend performance optimization, UX best practices, pod-based delivery, and cross-functional product engineering teams.
- Exposure to AI/LLM-integrated applications or backend interaction with RAG services is desirable.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, collaboration, adaptability, and delivery-oriented skills.
