Responsibilities
- Define, allocate, decompose, implement, and verify cybersecurity requirements using systems engineering practices.
- Develop cybersecurity requirements, design, architecture, and program security artifacts.
- Lead system design discussions and provide cybersecurity engineering guidance to cross-functional teams.
- Integrate cybersecurity considerations into embedded system designs with systems engineers and developers.
- Lead or support cybersecurity-focused system verification and validation, including test plans, procedures, execution, analysis, and remediation recommendations.
- Generate cybersecurity documentation including RMF System Security Plans, Risk Assessment Reports, and Plans of Actions and Milestones.
- Contribute to cybersecurity engineering teams, promote collaboration and continuous learning, and serve as a subject matter expert on evolving threats and security practices.
Requirements
- STEM degree and at least 8 years of relevant experience, or an advanced related degree and at least 5 years of experience.
- Active and transferable Secret U.S. government security clearance required before starting; active existing clearance is required on day one.
- U.S. citizenship is required because only U.S. citizens are eligible for the required security clearance.
- Experience defining, allocating, and decomposing system requirements, preferably for embedded systems.
- Experience generating Verification Items and determining formal verification methods such as inspection, analysis, demonstration, or test.
- Direct experience with requirements management tools and MBSE tools, including DOORS, JIRA, Confluence, JAMA, or CAMEO.
- Preferred experience includes satellite systems, communications systems, cybersecurity, RMF, embedded cryptography, NSA cryptographic certification, PPP, PPIP, and cybersecurity certifications such as CISSP or Security+.
- Ability to work as a self-starter with limited direction and minimal supervision.
