Responsibilities
- Perform data conversion including mapping, extraction, cleansing, migration, and validation.
- Develop and maintain database objects such as tables, views, queries, indexes, and stored procedures.
- Create data-access applications for content management, reporting, datafeeds, and file exports.
- Estimate the scope and effort required for data conversion and database development projects.
- Apply database performance, SQL tuning, indexing, partitioning, ETL, and data conversion practices.
- Collaborate with internal and external business users and participate in team and project meetings.
- Communicate technical information clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Build business knowledge of application usage and underlying business data.
- Prioritize and manage multiple tasks while maintaining work quality.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
- Eight or more years of experience with data modeling and relational database design.
- Eight or more years of Oracle development experience using SQL and PL/SQL.
- Eight or more years of experience in e-commerce and/or software product development.
- Expertise with PL/SQL procedures, packages, functions, cursors, triggers, interfaces, SQL*Plus, TOAD, and SQL Developer is desired.
- Experience with SQL tuning, indexing, partitioning, and database performance is desired.
- Experience with SQL Server development, T-SQL, DTS, SSIS, and data modeling is desired.
- Knowledge of content management business processes is desired.
- Knowledge of Java, JavaScript, JSP, .NET, C#, ASP.NET, and XML is preferred.
- Knowledge of Agility, Stibo, Oracle Enterprise Data Quality, or similar product and data-quality applications is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, adaptability, initiative, and ownership skills are desired.
