Test Engineer II, Off-Radar Software

Responsibilities
- Design, execute, and maintain software test scenarios for web applications and APIs.
- Contribute to test strategies, coverage, and acceptance criteria for user interfaces and backend services.
- Develop and maintain test plans, test cases, and test reports while managing defects through resolution.
- Perform manual UI, API, and exploratory testing to identify product risks, edge cases, and failure modes.
- Build and maintain automated tests using existing frameworks and Python, Playwright, and Selenium.
- Collaborate with software development, product, and firmware teams to improve testability and overall quality.
- Support test environments, automation infrastructure, and test execution across projects and releases.
- Promote strong testing practices through peer reviews and knowledge sharing.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in software testing, QA engineering, or test engineering focused on web applications and RESTful APIs.
- Experience validating feature-level behavior and cross-component workflows.
- Solid understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and test design techniques.
- Experience writing and maintaining UI and API test automation, with Python preferred.
- Experience working in environments with hardware and software dependencies.
- Practical knowledge of Linux environments, Git workflows, and CI/CD concepts.
- Understanding of software development practices, defect investigation, and root cause analysis.
