Responsibilities
- Coordinate and interface with international design and development teams.
- Contribute to project requirements analysis and software design.
- Assist with project planning and scheduling.
- Update software design documents based on requirement changes.
- Develop and maintain firmware in C/C++ for sustaining projects.
- Use model-based development and code generation through MATLAB.
- Conduct software peer reviews and code reviews.
- Recommend plans to improve software quality in products.
- Own projects and coordinate with functional contacts at different locations.
- Develop readable, robust, reliable, and well-structured code.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science or Electronics Engineering, or equivalent.
- 5–8 years of firmware development experience.
- Required experience with C.
- Required exposure to microcontrollers and digital signal processors (DSPs).
- Required exposure to peripherals and drivers including ADC, PWM, comparators, and DAC.
- Exposure to power electronics firmware development, including DC-DC converters and rectifiers.
- Control systems and PID control experience is an advantage.
- Preferred experience with CAN, I2C, Ethernet, TCP/IP, Modbus, BACnet, and SNMP protocols.
- Preferred real-time operating system experience.
- Ability to review code for readability and robust, reliable operation.
- Effective written and spoken English communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team.
