Responsibilities
- Enable engineering teams to run robust quality programs through tooling, education, advocacy, and pilot initiatives.
- Automate software tests and perform hands-on testing across unit, integration, functional, performance, and other testing types.
- Help shift quality left and improve software quality metrics and stakeholder confidence.
- Guide software engineering teams through continuous quality improvement.
- Build and maintain testing capabilities using appropriate testing and mocking frameworks.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to improve how reliable software is developed and shipped.
Requirements
- Require 3–5 years of experience as a software developer, Software Developer in Test, or similar.
- Require a BS in Computer Science or equivalent, or analogous work experience.
- Demonstrate fluency in white-box, black-box, unit, integration, functional, and performance testing methodologies.
- Have a proven record of automating complex software testing in enterprise environments and a bias toward automation over manual testing.
- Have production software coding experience and strong programming skills in Java, Python, C#, or JavaScript.
- Have experience with test automation tools and frameworks such as Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, Cypress, Playwright, Cucumber, or Karate.
- Be familiar with CI/CD tools and practices such as Jenkins, GitLab, or Azure DevOps.
- Preferred qualifications include performance testing with JMeter or LoadRunner, containerization and orchestration with Docker or Kubernetes, cloud experience with AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, or OCI, and knowledge of RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
- ISTQB or another relevant certification and experience with compliance frameworks such as SOC or HITRUST are preferred.
- Demonstrate problem-solving, attention to detail, communication, collaboration, and the ability to work independently and on a team.
