Responsibilities
- Work closely with software engineers to build and maintain software applications.
- Learn and participate in software design, development, testing, and deployment processes.
- Create scripts to automate parts of the software development process.
- Use debugging methodologies to investigate the root causes of software issues.
- Prepare technical or functional documents and reports as needed.
Requirements
- Be currently enrolled in a Canadian-based university bachelor's program majoring in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- Knowledge or experience with software engineering concepts, principles, and theories is encouraged.
- Knowledge or experience with C/C++, Python, Windows PowerShell, Linux shell scripting, Perl, Java, JavaScript, or UML is encouraged.
- Knowledge of UNIX/Linux operating systems is encouraged.
- Experience with MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB is encouraged.
- Experience with cloud computing platforms, including Azure, is encouraged.
- Experience with Django, Rails, or Spring Boot is encouraged.
- Experience with HTML, XML, or XSL is encouraged.
- Experience with defect tracking, testing, and debugging is encouraged.
- Experience with Git, GitHub, or Perforce is encouraged.
- Knowledge of OAuth, SSL, or TLS is encouraged.
- Knowledge of PC/CPU architecture, embedded systems, or microcontrollers is encouraged.
- Candidates must hold valid work authorization.
Benefits
- Full-time onsite work in Markham, Ontario, at 37.5 hours per week throughout the co-op/intern term.
- Choice of a 12-month term from May 3, 2027 to April 21, 2028, or a 16-month term from May 3, 2027 to August 18, 2028.
