Responsibilities
- Work closely with software engineers to build and maintain software applications.
- Learn and participate in software design, development, testing, and deployment.
- Create scripts to automate parts of the software development process.
- Use debugging methodologies to investigate the root causes of software issues.
- Prepare technical or functional documents and reports as needed.
Requirements
- Be currently enrolled in a Canadian-based university bachelor's program majoring in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- Knowledge or experience with software engineering concepts, C/C++, Python, Windows PowerShell, Linux shell scripting, Perl, Java, JavaScript, or UML is encouraged.
- Knowledge of UNIX/Linux operating systems, databases, cloud computing, web development frameworks, markup languages, defect tracking, testing, debugging, version control, security technologies, PC/CPU architecture, or embedded systems is encouraged.
Benefits
- The role offers a 12-month term from May 3, 2027 to April 21, 2028, or a 16-month term from May 3, 2027 to August 18, 2028.
- The student will work full-time, 37.5 hours per week, in a hybrid or onsite structure in Markham, Ontario.
