Responsibilities
- Design, implement, test, and maintain Squarepoint’s service-oriented kdb+/q architecture.
- Work closely with researchers and traders to model reality and normalize diverse datasets.
- Build robust, scalable infrastructure that exposes data to users worldwide.
- Own key parts of the infrastructure.
- Provide level 2+ support for critical services during live trading.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a STEM subject.
- Up to four years of relevant experience using kdb+/q.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Eagerness to continuously learn new technologies and develop with the team.
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience designing, testing, optimizing, and troubleshooting data-intensive applications is preferred.
- Experience analyzing and organizing financial data is preferred.
- Experience with Python, C++, or Rust is preferred.
- Experience with database management systems and related technologies such as SQL is preferred.
