Base Salary
$158k - $225k/yr
Responsibilities
- Architect, design, develop, and maintain scalable system test automation infrastructure for the ZIA Core cloud product.
- Build repeatable automation suites for L4–L7 technologies, including cloud firewalls, IPsec/GRE tunneling, load balancers, IPS/IDS, and routing and switching.
- Perform manual and automated functional, integration, performance, and scale testing, including test plan and test case creation.
- Debug and troubleshoot complex network infrastructure, HTTP/SSL, firewall, and customer-environment issues.
- Own testing at scale, optimize continuous regression cycles, and mentor junior engineers.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout software design, development, and maintenance.
Requirements
- 12+ years of overall experience and strong Python programming skills for building test automation frameworks.
- Foundational understanding of AI/ML technologies and experience leveraging, securing, or positioning AI-driven solutions within the functional domain.
- Solid understanding of TCP/IP, HTTP(S), TLS, PKI, DNS, DHCP, VPN, HA, routing and switching, and IPsec/GRE tunneling.
- Strong background in L3, L4, and L7 filtering policies, with hands-on exposure to load balancers, IPS/IDS, and routers.
- Experience testing cloud security or SaaS products across functional, integration, performance, and scale dimensions.
- Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills for network infrastructure, HTTP/SSL, and firewall issues.
- Experience with traffic generators, performance/load testing tools, and fuzzing techniques is preferred.
- Experience with AI-assisted coding, static/dynamic analysis, or intelligent automation tools is preferred.
- Track record of mentoring junior engineers and leading large-scale test automation or quality initiatives for distributed cloud systems is preferred.
