Responsibilities
- Research and improve camera pose estimation, localization, and spatial understanding algorithms.
- Advance mesh generation, surface reconstruction, texturing, and 3D asset delivery pipelines.
- Build semantic scene-understanding systems to guide and optimize real-time capture.
- Apply deep learning and foundation model techniques to segmentation, depth estimation, multi-view geometry, and appearance modeling.
- Collaborate across hardware, software, and product teams to analyze failures and improve end-to-end system quality.
- Contribute to data collection, model training, evaluation, production deployment, monitoring, and ongoing ML improvements.
- Prototype and integrate computer vision, neural rendering, and 3D machine learning research into production systems.
- Write high-quality, tested, and maintainable Python and C++ code.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience from an accredited, not-for-profit, in-person university or college.
- At least 3 years of hands-on machine learning and computer vision experience.
- Strong programming skills in Python and C++.
- Deep understanding of 3D geometry, multi-view reconstruction, image formation, and computer vision fundamentals.
- Experience with deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch or JAX and computer vision libraries such as OpenCV.
- Experience with Git and agile development methodologies.
- Strong problem-solving, debugging, verbal communication, and written communication skills.
- Preferred: master’s or Ph.D. in Computer Vision, Machine Learning, Robotics, or a related field.
- Preferred: 5+ years of industry experience developing and deploying computer vision or machine learning systems in production.
- Preferred: experience with camera pose estimation, visual odometry, SLAM, structure-from-motion, 3D reconstruction, NeRF, Gaussian Splatting, mesh processing, neural rendering, semantic understanding, scene segmentation, multimodal learning, differentiable rendering, UV mapping, texture generation, appearance modeling, or GPU and hardware-accelerator optimization.
