Base Salary
$179k - $246k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead a portfolio of technology projects and a team of developers building distributed microservices and full-stack systems.
- Develop robust cloud-based solutions supporting regulatory needs and financial technology products.
- Provide technical leadership across Agile teams and establish standards for design, development, and operational excellence.
- Partner with architects to define service boundaries, integration patterns, and reusable frameworks.
- Identify opportunities for refactoring, technical-debt reduction, and system-performance improvement.
- Evaluate emerging tools and practices and influence long-term technology strategy.
- Mentor engineers and participate in internal and external technology communities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related quantitative field such as Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, or Engineering.
- At least 4 years of software engineering experience; internship experience does not apply.
- At least 2 years of experience with public cloud platforms, cloud-based productivity tools, or virtualization technologies.
- Preferred experience includes 7+ years coding with more than two listed programming languages, 3+ years with databases and cloud technologies, 4+ years contributing to open source frameworks, and 3+ years with front-end JavaScript or TypeScript frameworks.
- Preferred experience includes creating synchronous and asynchronous APIs, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, automated testing frameworks, Git-based version control, and troubleshooting cloud environments.
- Preferred experience includes mentoring engineers, using observability to optimize distributed-system performance, leveraging AI coding tools, and leading cross-functional engineering initiatives.
- Preferred experience includes establishing coding standards and design patterns across teams.
