Responsibilities
- Develop and customise generative AI and agentic solutions from prototype through production ownership.
- Build retrieval, tool-calling, structured extraction, and multi-step workflow solutions for customs and business processes.
- Define evaluation criteria, build or manage evaluation processes, and ensure changes do not degrade system performance.
- Manage pilots and implementations, including criteria for scaling or stopping them.
- Monitor performance, inference cost, latency, and business impact.
- Collaborate with Operations, Transformation, IT, Group teams, legal, security, and technology partners.
- Contribute to privacy, security, AI governance, and EU AI Act compliance documentation.
Requirements
- Strong Python and SQL skills with direct production code ownership.
- Demonstrable experience integrating large language models into production systems, including prompt and context design, retrieval-augmented generation, structured output, and failure handling.
- Practical experience with at least one major cloud AI platform: Azure AI, AWS Bedrock, or Google Vertex AI.
- Strong backend and full-stack engineering fundamentals covering APIs, data pipelines, testing, and CI/CD.
- Professional fluency in English.
- Preferred experience includes evaluation harnesses, regression suites, LLM-as-judge approaches, human-in-the-loop review, context engineering, agent orchestration, long-running workflows, observability, and inference cost control.
