Responsibilities
- Serve as technical lead for a squad of 10+ identity engineers and promote technical excellence and zero-downtime operations.
- Own the SSO roadmap and act as chief architect for the Tier 0 PingFederate environment.
- Lead incident response as an incident commander, including executive-level outage leadership and post-mortems.
- Build and oversee agentic AI workflows for real-time monitoring, anomaly detection, and automated self-healing.
- Standardize PingFederate configuration and deployment pipelines using infrastructure-as-code, Terraform, and GitOps.
- Manage high-availability clustered PingFederate services, zero-downtime upgrades, configuration replication, and mission-critical authentication traffic.
- Manage OAuth grant types, OpenID Connect policy management, and token exchange for mobile applications and AI-agent identities.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience managing PingFederate in high-availability, clustered environments.
- Experience designing and deploying agentic AI workflows that monitor system health and mitigate potential outages.
- Experience with zero-downtime upgrades, configuration replication, and Tier 0 authentication traffic.
- Proficiency automating PingFederate deployments with Terraform, Ansible, or Jenkins.
- Ability to manage identity configurations as code across development, staging, and production environments.
- Understanding of complex OAuth grant types, OpenID Connect policy management, and token exchange.
- Ability to lead a team of up to 8–10 engineers.
- Preferred qualifications include Ping Identity Certified Expert – PingFederate certification, experience with FIDO2/WebAuthn passwordless migrations, and experience maintaining highly available PingFederate environments.
- Preferred qualifications include leading global IAM teams, managing budgets, and delivering cross-functional roadmaps.
