Base Salary
$144k - $180k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop and test secure, reliable software solutions for federal government missions.
- Pair with customer developers, engineers, and military service personnel to deliver user-focused functionality.
- Teach and apply design thinking, test-driven development, paired programming, continuous delivery, backlog management, and user-centered development practices.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their learning preferences, feedback methods, and domain language.
- Continuously deliver working software, gather real-user feedback, and adapt engineering decisions based on validated assumptions.
- Build software across frontend and backend systems and ensure solutions meet user needs, business objectives, and stakeholder vision.
- Champion AI-augmented ways of working to accelerate delivery and reduce cycle time.
- Facilitate collaboration and contribute to team learning, mentoring, and engineering practice improvement.
Requirements
- Active TS/SCI security clearance.
- U.S. citizenship and successful completion of a background investigation.
- 6–10 years of software development experience in a variety of programming languages.
- Experience with PHP, Kotlin, Java, or JavaScript.
- Experience with Spring Boot, React.JS, Vue, or Redux.
- Experience developing both frontend and backend software.
- Experience with container technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with DevSecOps tools and processes including Git, Concourse, GitLabCI, SonarQube, Fortify, and ThreadFix.
- Demonstrated API development experience and comfort running software in Linux environments.
- Understanding of algorithms, databases, and design patterns.
- Experience with test-driven development and agile methodologies.
- Strong communication and facilitation skills and interest in paired programming.
- BA/BS in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Preferred: experience training, mentoring, or upskilling engineers; cloud-native application development; product or development team leadership; continuous delivery; direct client work; DoD or DoD Software Factory experience.
- Preferred: residence within commuting distance of Colorado Springs or Aurora, Colorado, or El Segundo, California, with availability for hybrid onsite work.
