Responsibilities
- Provision, operate, and improve AWS infrastructure with Terraform, Terragrunt, Ansible, CloudFormation, and approved automation patterns.
- Administer and troubleshoot AWS EKS/Kubernetes clusters, workloads, node groups, networking dependencies, and operational readiness.
- Develop scripts, CI/CD workflows, and automation to reduce manual effort and improve production support.
- Support EC2, Windows, Linux, AMI creation, patching coordination, and infrastructure lifecycle activities.
- Improve dashboards, alerts, logs, metrics, observability, and production runbooks.
- Participate in on-call rotation, incident response, escalations, and post-incident improvements.
- Manage ServiceNow and Jira work, including operational tasks, change records, incidents, requests, and project deliverables.
- Write technical specifications, implementation notes, operational documentation, and runbooks.
- Perform testing, validation, troubleshooting, and debugging before production releases.
- Mentor junior associates and promote CloudOps standards and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant work experience.
- 5–7 years of progressive experience with cloud implementations, production cloud operations, and Infrastructure as Code.
- At least 4 years of practical public cloud experience, with AWS strongly preferred.
- Hands-on production experience administering, troubleshooting, and supporting AWS EKS/Kubernetes and containerized workloads.
- Knowledge of Terraform, Terragrunt, CloudFormation, Ansible, CI/CD pipelines, scripting, AWS services, observability tools, Git workflows, and Windows and Linux operating systems.
- Experience with IAM, VPC/networking, EC2, load balancing, storage, backups or snapshots, logging, monitoring, AMI lifecycle processes, and operational automation.
- Ability to document technical standards and work independently on complex operational issues.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with engineers, architects, security, product, business management, and other stakeholders.
- Preferred qualifications include AWS Solutions Architect, SysOps Administrator, or DevOps Engineer certification; Kubernetes certification; product or business management experience; entrepreneurial technology-environment experience; Agile/Scrum experience; and compliance, audit, change management, risk remediation, or governance experience.
- Must be able to use a camera for all virtual meetings.
