Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable enterprise applications and microservices using Core Java, J2EE, Spring Framework, Spring Boot, and REST web services.
- Provide hands-on technical guidance while contributing to coding, application design, testing, security, and development best practices.
- Build and support containerized applications using Kubernetes, including deployment, scaling, and lifecycle management.
- Collaborate with utilities stakeholders, architecture, and infrastructure teams to translate smart grid operational requirements into reliable technical solutions and integrations.
- Drive application quality and performance through code reviews, automated testing, performance optimization, production troubleshooting, CI/CD practices, and GitHub Copilot.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of experience designing and developing enterprise applications using Core Java and J2EE.
- Strong hands-on experience with Spring Framework, Spring Boot, microservices, and REST web services.
- Hands-on Kubernetes experience, including containerized application deployment, scaling, and lifecycle management.
- Experience developing secure, scalable, and high-performing enterprise applications, including code reviews, testing, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
- Experience in the smart grid or utilities domain, including knowledge of grid monitoring, outage management, demand response, meter management, or utility operations.
- Preferred experience with GitHub Copilot or similar AI-assisted development tools, CI/CD pipelines, automated quality checks, modern source-control practices, and utility integrations.
- Oracle Certified Professional Java Programmer or Certified Kubernetes Administrator certification, or an equivalent cloud-native credential, would help the candidate stand out.
