Base Salary

$144k - $194k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design and build scalable services for client onboarding, data enrichment, and DPS screening preprocessing workflows.
  • Consolidate legacy onboarding tools and workflows into a unified, extensible platform.
  • Own production services, including availability, latency, on-call rotation, runbooks, alarming, and monitoring.
  • Gather requirements and collaborate with onboarding program managers, compliance teams, and upstream and downstream service owners.
  • Mentor SDE I engineers and contribute to code reviews, design reviews, and engineering best practices.
  • Identify improvements to reliability, onboarding friction, and manual-process automation.
  • Write clean, tested, maintainable code aligned with Amazon engineering and security standards.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
  • 2+ years of design or architecture experience involving design patterns, reliability, and scaling for new and existing systems.
  • 1+ year of software development engineer or related occupational experience.
  • 1+ year of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded, or distributed applications, tools, systems, and services using C#, C++, Java, or Perl.
  • 1+ year of object-oriented design experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Preferred: 3+ years of full software development lifecycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
  • Preferred: bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
