Base Salary
$144k - $194k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and build scalable services for client onboarding, data enrichment, and DPS screening preprocessing workflows.
- Consolidate legacy onboarding tools and workflows into a unified, extensible platform.
- Own production services, including availability, latency, on-call rotation, runbooks, alarming, and monitoring.
- Gather requirements and collaborate with onboarding program managers, compliance teams, and upstream and downstream service owners.
- Mentor SDE I engineers and contribute to code reviews, design reviews, and engineering best practices.
- Identify improvements to reliability, onboarding friction, and manual-process automation.
- Write clean, tested, maintainable code aligned with Amazon engineering and security standards.
Requirements
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- 2+ years of design or architecture experience involving design patterns, reliability, and scaling for new and existing systems.
- 1+ year of software development engineer or related occupational experience.
- 1+ year of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded, or distributed applications, tools, systems, and services using C#, C++, Java, or Perl.
- 1+ year of object-oriented design experience.
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Preferred: 3+ years of full software development lifecycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Preferred: bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
