Base Salary
$120k - $235k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and delivery of complex software components and features.
- Balance performance, scalability, reliability, maintainability, security, privacy, compliance, and quality standards.
- Build and improve testing and automation to support reliable and efficient releases.
- Apply AI-powered capabilities and developer tools to improve product experiences, engineering productivity, automation, and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with architects and cross-functional teams on design decisions and technical tradeoffs.
- Use telemetry, experimentation, and operational metrics to assess system health, performance, and customer impact.
- Participate in design and code reviews and ensure end-to-end production readiness.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related technical field and 4+ years of technical engineering experience with coding, or equivalent experience.
- Coding experience with one or more of C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements, including the Microsoft Cloud background check.
- Preferred qualifications include a master’s degree with 6+ years of experience or a bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of experience, or equivalent experience.
- Preferred experience includes 5+ years in a collaborative environment and 6+ years building, shipping, and maintaining production-grade software systems.
- Experience with AI-powered tooling or applications, performance and reliability optimization, cloud-based systems, telemetry, monitoring, release pipelines, or backend service interactions is preferred.
- Familiarity with advertising technology concepts such as SDK development, ad delivery pipelines, telemetry, experimentation, or monetization platforms is preferred.

- The role generally requires working from a designated Microsoft office at least four days per week for employees within the specified commute distance, beginning January 26, 2026, subject to local law and jurisdiction.
- Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
- The Microsoft Cloud background check is required upon hire or transfer and every two years thereafter.
