Base Salary
$108k - $140k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop software for communication between laboratory robotics, automation hardware, sensors, and control systems.
- Integrate laboratory instruments into cloud and edge laboratory automation infrastructure and manage device execution.
- Test, debug, and troubleshoot drivers for performance, compatibility, and functional issues.
- Create and maintain documentation for driver interfaces, APIs, and integration methods.
- Collaborate with hardware engineers, software developers, product managers, scientists, laboratory technicians, and other end users.
- Use state-of-the-art coding models and development infrastructure to improve software delivery speed and quality.
Requirements
- Proficiency in Python, C#/.NET, or other programming languages or frameworks.
- Demonstrated debugging and problem-solving ability, preferably involving hardware-software integration.
- Strong analytical thinking and a structured approach to troubleshooting complex technical problems.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Interest or background in science is a bonus.
- Experience with laboratory automation, robotics in life sciences or related industries, end-user collaboration, hardware integration, device driver development, or Git is preferred.
