Responsibilities
- Manage and resolve production support tickets across business units, including triage and prioritization by urgency and impact.
- Troubleshoot enterprise web applications, data inconsistencies, pipeline failures, performance degradation, and other production incidents.
- Conduct root cause analysis, identify recurring issues, and implement automation and long-term corrective solutions.
- Develop, maintain, and optimize data pipelines and workflows using Snowflake and Oracle databases.
- Monitor application, database, warehouse, query, and resource performance and proactively address potential issues.
- Collaborate with business users, analysts, developers, DevOps teams, and Major Incident Management on issues and enhancements.
- Implement security, scalability, performance, CI/CD, and operational best practices.
- Document processes, resolutions, runbooks, operational procedures, recurring issues, and system architecture.
- Suggest and implement process improvements to reduce ticket volume and manual intervention.
- Manage cloud resource costs by tuning Snowflake warehouse sizes and Oracle instance configurations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology or a related field.
- At least 4 years of experience troubleshooting enterprise web applications, including configuration issues.
- At least 4 years of experience writing and optimizing advanced SQL and PL/SQL queries and stored procedures.
- At least 4 years of experience developing and optimizing data pipelines and workflows with Snowflake and Oracle.
- At least 4 years of Snowflake experience, including warehouse monitoring, table locks, and load history.
- At least 3 years of experience automating data ingestion, validation, and monitoring with Python and orchestration tools such as Apache Airflow or Prefect.
- At least 3 years of experience monitoring database health, query performance, and resource utilization with Snowflake Resource Monitors, Oracle Enterprise Manager, and cloud monitoring tools.
- At least 3 years of experience resolving production incidents involving data inconsistencies, pipeline failures, or performance degradation.
- At least 2 years of experience implementing role-based access control, data masking, and encryption in Snowflake and Oracle environments.
- At least 2 years of experience integrating database changes into CI/CD pipelines using Git, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps.
- At least 4 years of experience performing root cause analysis and implementing automation to reduce manual intervention.
- At least 1 year of experience managing cloud resource costs through Snowflake and Oracle configuration tuning.
- At least 4 years of experience documenting operational procedures, runbooks, and system architecture.
- At least 3 years of experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Preferred qualifications include experience with Splunk, AppDynamics, or Dynatrace; networking and security principles; end-to-end business process analysis and documentation; and Agile/Lean frameworks.
