Responsibilities
- Implement, monitor, and maintain software systems for high availability and performance.
- Automate repetitive tasks and processes using operational automation tools.
- Develop and maintain monitoring and system-performance analysis tools.
- Collaborate with software development teams to deploy and operate reliable, scalable services.
- Respond to and resolve incidents and outages, including post-incident analysis and documentation.
- Participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation for critical systems.
- Write business processes, business rules, and SRE best practices.
- Support usage and cost-allocation audits and release roadmap planning.
- Conduct chaos engineering, load testing, and capacity-management activities.
- Provide training on third-party platform competencies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or an equivalent technical field.
- At least 3 years of experience in an SRE or DevOps role.
- Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix systems administration.
- Experience with automation tools such as Puppet, Chef, or Ansible.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or Perl.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms, especially AWS and GCP.
- Experience in Agile development environments.
- Very good interpersonal and communication skills and a collaborative team orientation.
