Responsibilities
- Lead engineering architecture design reviews.
- Build services that meet high availability and latency standards.
- Set a high technical bar through code and architecture design reviews.
- Mentor engineers on the team.
- Collaborate with Product, Design, and Engineering teams for integrated solutions.
- Enhance engineering processes, including sprint planning and stand-ups.
- Improve operational excellence with metrics and dashboards.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 8+ years of professional software development experience.
- Experience designing and delivering highly-available, scalable cloud-based systems.
- Backend service experience in languages such as Java, Scala, Go, or C#.
- Familiarity with SQL or NoSQL data stores, queue services, and cache services.
- Knowledge of the latest software engineering and open source technologies.
- A passion for delighting end users and tackling novel challenges.
