Responsibilities
- Provide application administration and technical support as the subject matter expert for core clinical programming packages.
- Design, write, validate, and maintain software and clinical programming deliverables according to specifications and standard development procedures.
- Develop and maintain specifications, coding, and validation documentation for annotated CRFs, database creation, coding setup, edit checks, imports, exports, listings, and custom reports.
- Monitor applications for workflow alerts, system errors, performance issues, and programming defects, and troubleshoot problems.
- Perform system integrations, application updates, and user acceptance testing.
- Coordinate and lead development activities for clinical programming project teams and communicate issues affecting timelines, scope, or budget.
- Attend Quick Start Camps as the lead Clinical Programmer for assigned studies.
- Provide leadership, mentorship, training, guidance, and support to other department members.
- Collaborate with clients, peers, lead programmers, project teams, and requestors to clarify and finalize specifications.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience are targeted due to the complexity of the integrations and data structures.
- Strong preference for hands-on programming experience rather than a primarily Data Management profile.
- Experience with clinical programming application administration, integrations, development, validation, and technical support.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments, communicate resource needs, solve problems analytically, and provide constructive feedback.
- Equivalent experience, skills, and/or education will also be considered.
