Responsibilities
- Develop and modify ABAP applications in SAP S/4HANA.
- Analyze, refactor, and adapt existing SAP ECC solutions as part of ECC-to-S/4HANA transitions.
- Collaborate on SAP conversion and transformation projects.
- Develop and maintain solutions for logistics modules, including MM and SD, and potentially PP, WM, or EWM depending on the project.
- Gradually adopt modern development concepts including CDS Views and the ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model.
- Work with architects and consultants to design solutions aligned with Clean Core principles.
- Participate in technical discussions, code reviews, and the definition of development standards.
- Learn and apply new SAP technologies and development approaches.
Requirements
- Very strong knowledge of SAP ABAP, including classic ABAP and object-oriented ABAP.
- Practical experience with SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA.
- Experience transferring or adapting programs from ECC to S/4HANA.
- Knowledge of SAP logistics processes, particularly MM and SD; additional logistics-module knowledge is an advantage.
- Ability to understand existing code and design its modernization.
- Interest in and willingness to develop skills in new SAP technologies and approaches.
- Independent, responsible approach to development and ability to learn new technologies and procedures.
- Ability to collaborate in a team and share knowledge.
- Analytical thinking and ability to solve complex technical problems.
- Secondary or university education in a technical or IT field.
- SAP certification is advantageous but not required.
- Experience with CDS Views, SAP Fiori/UI5, RAP, Clean Core principles, side-by-side development on SAP BTP, APIs or events, and transformation or greenfield projects is advantageous.
