Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks, libraries, utilities, and reusable components.
- Build automated functional, integration, regression, API, and system-level test suites for enterprise SaaS applications, services, integrations, and distributed systems.
- Use AI coding assistants and agents for code analysis, test generation, debugging, refactoring, and automation development, while validating generated output.
- Integrate reliable automated tests with CI/CD runners, build systems, deployment pipelines, test environments, and reporting infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot automation failures, application issues, environment problems, production defects, and customer issue reproductions using logs, metrics, traces, code, and system behavior.
- Identify test coverage gaps and improve product testability, observability, reliability, performance, maintainability, and automation efficiency.
- Review application and test code and provide technical feedback on quality, reliability, maintainability, and automation effectiveness.
- Collaborate with software engineers, architects, product managers, DevOps, operations, and QA/DevTest teams.
- Support production issue reproduction and troubleshooting outside standard working hours when required.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- 12+ years of software engineering, SDET, DevTest, or QA automation experience with strong hands-on programming skills.
- Programming experience in Java, C#, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or similar languages.
- Experience building automation frameworks, test libraries, reusable testing components, and automation infrastructure.
- Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming, data structures, APIs, databases, debugging, version control, test design, regression testing, and automation reliability.
- Experience automating tests for APIs, backend services, web applications, distributed systems, or enterprise software.
- Strong experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated test execution, runners, and build or deployment infrastructure.
- Hands-on experience with AWS or other cloud environments and troubleshooting cloud-hosted applications and test environments.
- Experience diagnosing complex application and production issues using logs, metrics, traces, database queries, and code-level debugging.
- Ability to understand existing codebases and independently build significant automated test coverage.
- Experience using AI-assisted development tools or coding agents in daily engineering and test automation work.
- Preferred experience with enterprise SaaS, IT management, cybersecurity, endpoint management, RMM, or other complex software platforms.
- Preferred experience with API automation, integration testing, contract testing, service virtualization, distributed-system testing, Docker, Kubernetes, SQL, relational databases, and large-scale SDET/DevTest frameworks.
- Preferred experience with Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, REST-assured, pytest, JUnit, TestNG, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
- Understanding of application security, scalability, reliability, observability, and distributed-system behavior.
- Strong analytical, debugging, collaboration, ownership, and independent initiative skills.
