Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Work with multiple engineering disciplines to ensure systems are designed, built, and fielded to meet requirements.
- Oversee and provide insight into software architecture and multi-level software designs for a complex system of systems.
- Assess software design from requirements through final system integration test plans.
- Identify, document, and develop technical risk mitigation strategies.
- Work side-by-side with government customers as a subject matter expert assessing designs.
- Ensure subsystems integrate with minimal issues and enable government ownership of delivered technology.
- Support software requirements and design analysis, threat and vulnerability assessments, secure software architecture analysis, software test evaluation, and application integration.
- Decompose system-level non-functional requirements and constraints into software components.
- Develop requirements validation, verification, tracing, defect burn-down, regression testing, integration metrics, and test dependency strategies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, software engineering, or a related technical field.
- At least 8 years of software and/or systems engineering experience designing complex software systems of systems, including requirements validation and verification.
- Familiarity with software design, development, deployment, and testing in containerized environments.
- Fluency in an object-oriented programming language such as C#, C++, or Java.
- Proficiency with software interfaces using tools such as Google Protocol Buffers.
- Proficiency with SysML and Cameo.
- Experience with requirements management, requirements development, validation, tracing, and verification.
- Knowledge of technical and program risk assessment, regression testing, integration metrics, and secure software development processes.
- Working knowledge of system and software design patterns and their application.
- Strong teamwork, interpersonal, oral communication, and written communication skills.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective customer relationships.
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance.
- Ability to travel approximately 30%, nominally four trips per quarter.
- Preferred qualifications include API security knowledge, defense program experience, air-gapped deployment experience, Atlassian suite experience, Git and Bitbucket experience, DoD DevSecOps knowledge, DoD mission operations network experience, and familiarity with FedRAMP or other government security standards.
- Active DoD SECRET clearance is preferred.
