Base Salary
$210k - $260k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and ship full-stack features across the React web portal and Spring backend services.
- Develop and maintain versioned RESTful APIs for sensor data and vessel telemetry.
- Architect and evolve the microservices layer on AWS for reliability and scalability.
- Optimize PostGIS queries for bulk artifact retrieval and time-series analysis.
- Build internal tools for operations team to manage SmartMast units.
- Collaborate with design team to implement UI components for data-dense visualizations.
- Participate in on-call rotations for service reliability and incident response.
- Review code and mentor engineers to raise the technical bar.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional full-stack software engineering experience.
- Strong command of React and modern JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Solid backend experience with Spring Boot and REST API design.
- Hands-on experience with PostGIS and performant query writing.
- Working knowledge of AWS services and infrastructure-as-code tooling.
- Experience with microservices architecture and CI/CD pipelines.
- Ability to understand complex data flows involving real-time streams and geospatial coordinates.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
