Base Salary

$158k - $214k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Research and implement solutions that improve customer experiences.
  • Build AI agents and tools that accelerate migration, porting, and optimization of machine learning workloads on Amazon Neuron.
  • Develop and operate agentic evaluation frameworks, monitoring, and feedback loops for agent correctness, reliability, and continuous improvement.
  • Design, implement, test, deploy, and maintain highly available software that improves performance, durability, cost, and security.
  • Build always-on products and collaborate with software, science, AI services, partner, and customer teams.
  • Potentially contribute intellectual property through patents.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience and 3 years of broad engineering experience.
  • At least 2 years of experience designing or architecting new and existing reliable, scalable systems.
  • At least 1 year of software development engineer or related occupational experience.
  • At least 1 year designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded, or distributed applications, tools, systems, or services using C#, C++, Java, or Perl.
  • At least 1 year of object-oriented design experience and computer science fundamentals including data structures and performance analysis with at least two programming languages.
  • Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related field.
  • Hands-on Generative AI experience and proficiency in at least one programming language.
  • Experience with software engineering practices across the full software development life cycle, including coding, code reviews, source control, builds, testing, and operations.
  • Experience in ML compilers, production coding agents, GenAI model architecture, model training, neural network optimization, or applied mathematics.
  • Preferred qualifications include machine learning or computational modeling experience, building AI agents for ML optimization, distributed inference or training, ML kernel optimization, open-source optimization communities, AWS services, and state-of-the-art machine learning technologies.
