Responsibilities
- Act as the senior technical escalation point for Maximo and MAS incidents, triaging and resolving complex defects within client SLAs.
- Perform root cause analysis, provide end-user and super-user support, and convert recurring defect trends into permanent fixes.
- Configure Maximo Application Designer, workflows, escalations, conditional expressions, and security groups.
- Develop and maintain Python/Jython and JavaScript automation scripts, including AI-enabled automation and integration patterns.
- Maintain BIRT reports, KPIs, and ad-hoc reporting while favoring configuration over bespoke customization.
- Promote changes through development, test, UAT, and production using DBC scripting and Migration Manager.
- Plan deployment windows, maintain environment integrity, and produce deployment documentation and release notes.
- Monitor platform health, performance, live integrations, scheduled processes, and emerging issues through predictive monitoring and anomaly detection.
- Create reusable AI-enabled support assets, intelligent agents, prompt libraries, runbooks, and automation frameworks.
- Identify and develop Maximo capabilities for predictive maintenance, anomaly detection, and intelligent decision support.
- Contribute technical expertise to implementation and migration projects, mentor colleagues, and lead peer review.
- Support bids, client demonstrations, and service transition as a Maximo technical subject matter expert.
Requirements
- Minimum six years of hands-on IBM Maximo experience, including senior or lead technical delivery.
- Strong hands-on Maximo configuration experience with Application Designer, workflows, escalations, conditional expressions, and security groups.
- Proven experience triaging defects and conducting root cause analysis on live business-critical systems.
- Experience managing releases and environments using DBC scripting and Migration Manager.
- Experience with client SLAs and ITIL-aligned incident, problem, change, and release management.
- Automation scripting experience with Python/Jython and JavaScript, plus strong SQL skills.
- Working knowledge of MIF and REST/SOAP interfaces for monitoring and troubleshooting live integrations.
- Functional knowledge of Work Management, Asset Lifecycle, Inventory, Procurement, PM/Job Plans, and Service Management.
- Strong client-facing communication and the ability to determine when standard Maximo functionality is preferable to custom development.
- Experience creating reusable delivery accelerators, automation frameworks, or AI-enabled assets.
- Ability to identify and explain valuable AI opportunities to technical and business stakeholders.
- Experience with MAS 8 or MAS 9, end-to-end migrations, machine learning, predictive analytics, generative AI, Maximo Health, Predict, Monitor, or Visual Inspection is advantageous.
- Familiarity with AI governance, responsible AI, Java/J2EE MBO customization, Red Hat OpenShift, Kubernetes, containerized deployment, automated deployment pipelines, version-controlled configuration promotion, ServiceNow, or equivalent ITSM tooling is advantageous.
- Maximo Manage v9.0 or v8.0 certification or MAS Foundation certification is advantageous; uncertified candidates must be willing to obtain certification within the first year.
- Experience in aerospace and defense, MRO, utilities, rail and transport, oil and gas, facilities management, or other regulated asset-intensive industries is advantageous.
- Applicants must have five years of continuous UK address history for the required BPSS and SC security clearance.
