Base Salary
$160k - $200k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop and continuously improve Via’s rider mobile applications across platforms.
- Build features for booking, account management, and the core rider journey.
- Work primarily in Flutter while contributing to native Android and iOS codebases when appropriate.
- Architect and evolve mobile infrastructure services, including app architecture, performance, and memory management.
- Diagnose and resolve critical production issues in live environments.
- Collaborate with designers, backend engineers, and product managers.
- Mentor engineers, review code, share expertise, and support team growth.
Requirements
- 5+ years of mobile development experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with cross-platform frameworks, with Flutter experience strongly preferred.
- Solid native development experience in Android using Kotlin or iOS using Swift.
- Experience working across cross-platform and native codebases and selecting the appropriate approach.
- Strong understanding of mobile app architecture patterns, performance optimization, and concurrent programming.
- Experience with Location Services and Google Maps API, plus familiarity with third-party mapping tools such as Mapbox.
- Ability to collaborate, mentor engineers, take ownership, and proactively identify improvements.
