Responsibilities
- Specify, design, and implement body-controls firmware architecture from prototype bring-up through high-volume production.
- Develop control and estimation algorithms for window, closure, lighting, and other vehicle body-control features.
- Lead hardware integration and validation on electrical test benches, bucks, labcars, and vehicles.
- Collaborate with software integration, electrical hardware, systems, architecture, and UI/UX teams to deliver vehicle features.
- Perform low-level debugging, hardware bring-up, code optimization, and validation across timing, memory, stability, performance, and low-power requirements.
- Participate in functional safety analyses and author feature boundary diagrams, subsystem block diagrams, validation strategies, and subsystem reviews.
- Create and execute component-level test procedures and establish automation for unit, SIL, and HIL testing.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Computer Science, or equivalent experience with evidence of exceptional ability.
- At least 3 years of experience writing production-grade C for real-time embedded systems and applying coding standards such as MISRA C.
- Hands-on experience with RTOS platforms including FreeRTOS, SafeRTOS, OSEK, or AUTOSAR, as well as bare-metal embedded software.
- At least 3 years of experience with electrical hardware applications, prototype bring-up, and systems development.
- At least 3 years of experience with CAN, LIN, and Automotive Ethernet vehicle network protocols.
- At least 3 years of experience using embedded networking interface tools in automotive, aerospace, or similar fields.
- Strong low-level debugging, hardware bring-up, timing and memory optimization, low-power, electrical test equipment, vehicle architecture, diagnostics, and functional safety experience.
- Experience with driver development, RTOS integration, build tools, PCB analysis, Python testing scripts, motor calibration, OBD calibration, and hardware/system debugging is preferred.
