Base Salary
$141k - $311k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable and reliable ML infrastructure on AWS.
- Automate deployment, monitoring, alerting, and operational tasks using Terraform and Helm.
- Manage and optimize CI/CD pipelines and Git repositories for ML projects.
- Collaborate with ML engineers and data scientists to understand infrastructure needs and provide solutions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure-related issues.
- Implement security best practices for ML infrastructure.
- Document infrastructure designs, processes, and operational procedures.
- Lead the architecture and delivery of significant technical solutions for the senior track.
- Mentor junior engineers and drive technical alignment and influence across teams for the senior track.
Requirements
- BS or MS degree with 2–3 years of industry experience for the Machine Learning Engineer track or 3–5 years for the Senior Machine Learning Engineer track.
- Experience designing, deploying, and managing AWS infrastructure, including EC2, S3, RDS, EKS, and SageMaker.
- Strong proficiency with Git and Git repository management.
- Hands-on experience with Terraform and Helm for infrastructure provisioning and Kubernetes application management.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python and Bash.
- Experience debugging complex infrastructure issues and applying software engineering best practices.
- Familiarity with modern machine learning methods, high-performance computing, distributed systems, and cloud computing.
- Strong communication, collaboration, initiative, and project-delivery skills.
- Preferred experience with MLOps platforms and tools, ML CI/CD workflows, and monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK.
- Senior candidates should have experience leading technical projects from conception to completion and delivering scalable, reliable software.
