Base Salary
$97k - $180k/yr
Responsibilities
- Translate requirements into maintainable software solutions for integrated systems and encryption products.
- Investigate root causes of complex issues and implement solutions independently or with multidisciplinary teams.
- Develop software for target hardware and embedded real-time operating systems using primarily C/C++, Rust, and Python.
- Support all software development lifecycle phases, including requirements analysis, design, implementation, hardware-software integration, and formal testing.
- Develop software test plans, procedures, and technical documentation; participate in peer reviews and repair defects.
- Evaluate hardware-software interfaces, operational performance requirements, prototypes, and experimental test results.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering stakeholders to prioritize work and help shape product and infrastructure direction.
- Travel approximately 20%.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and at least 4 years of relevant experience, a graduate degree and at least 2 years of related experience, or 8 years of related experience in lieu of a degree.
- At least 3 years of software design and development experience using C/C++.
- Active US DOD Secret security clearance.
- Preferred experience with object-oriented design, software modeling, UML tools, Python, Rust, embedded software systems, information assurance, cryptography, NSA Type 1 certification, DO-178, or comparable software certification.
