Base Salary
$146k - $208k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead technical planning, system architecture, scaling, and 0-to-1 product development for AI-powered products
- Write production-quality code and build proof-of-concepts to validate architecture and solve complex technical challenges
- Mentor backend engineers, identify technical debt, resolve blockers, and improve engineering practices
- Partner with Product, Design, and Engineering leadership to translate business goals into well-architected initiatives
- Integrate AI-assisted development workflows such as Claude Code and GitHub Copilot into engineering practices
Requirements
- 7+ years of professional engineering experience focused on web applications and high-impact technical work
- Experience operating at a senior-to-staff level and owning system design and architectural decisions for high-scale or high-growth products
- Strong backend experience with Kotlin; TypeScript experience is a plus
- Understanding of AWS and Kubernetes
- Hands-on experience integrating AI models and LLMs into customer-facing products
- Experience in early-stage, startup, or high-innovation environments
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with Product Managers, Designers, and engineering teams
- Experience with or enthusiasm for AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code
