Base Salary
$168k - $227k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and implement authorization policies, enforcement mechanisms, and audit pipelines for human and AI-agent interactions.
- Lead the architecture of distributed access-control systems with attention to scalability, security, maintainability, and production risk.
- Collaborate with partner teams to define integration points and service contracts as Amazon Quick adds agentic capabilities.
- Evaluate generative AI tooling for development workflows and responsibly review AI-generated output.
- Mentor engineers through code reviews, design guidance, and technical coaching.
Requirements
- 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- 5+ years of programming experience with at least one software programming language.
- 5+ years of leading design or architecture for new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or engineering team leader.
- Preferred: 5+ years of full software development lifecycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Preferred: bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
