Base Salary
$220k - $240k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and improve authentication and authorization systems powering Owner’s product surfaces.
- Own login, session, token management, service-to-service authentication, account security, permissions, and access-enforcement infrastructure end to end.
- Improve reliability and observability through alerting, dashboards, and operational runbooks.
- Identify risks and strengthen authentication and authorization security controls.
- Use AI tooling to accelerate coding, code review, solution exploration, and repetitive tasks.
- Interview candidates, share technical context, and help raise engineering standards.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience building and shipping production backend systems, including end-to-end ownership of critical services.
- Deep experience with TypeScript or JavaScript for web-scale applications.
- Hands-on experience building authentication, authorization, identity, permissions, security, or similar platform infrastructure.
- Strong understanding of API design, distributed systems, databases, and operational reliability.
- Demonstrated ownership, urgency, and ability to drive toward clarity without perfect requirements.
