Responsibilities
- Own the architecture and high-level design of product software systems or subsystems, ensuring modularity, maintainability, efficiency, and alignment with best practices.
- Identify and resolve technical, performance, usability, reliability, cost, and schedule risks through modeling, prototypes, and feasibility studies.
- Lead system and subsystem development direction across teams, domains, and release trains, and review engineering designs and proposals.
- Create and approve technical and non-functional requirements based on product requirements.
- Develop software technology and tools roadmaps and participate in sourcing and deployment activities.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to engineers, project teams, and functional stakeholders.
- Serve as the technical authority and final decision maker for architectural and design matters within the assigned system or subsystem.
- Support quality processes, audits, non-conformance resolution, safety analysis, and compliance with regulatory and performance requirements.
Requirements
- Degree in an engineering discipline.
- Fluent English and strong communication skills.
- Strong leadership, organizational, interpersonal, problem-solving, and systems-thinking skills.
- Experience with product development practices, projects, tools, technologies, and techniques.
- Knowledge of object-oriented software design and service or microservice-based architectures.
- Hands-on development experience with C#/.NET.
- Experience working in a regulated safety or security environment.
- Understanding of Agile and Scrum methodologies.
- Knowledge of Enterprise Architect, SysML, and UML.
- One or more of knowledge of medical technology and its regulatory framework, Azure DevOps/Git, or user interface design and development.
