Responsibilities
- Build and enhance backend services, developer-facing tools, IDE integrations, bots, and SDLC platform infrastructure.
- Design reactive and event-driven applications integrating source control, build and test systems, workflow services, and operational data stores.
- Contribute to AI-enabled engineering workflows and evolve SDLC interfaces for safe, reliable interaction with AI assistants and agents.
- Own operational reliability across distributed services, applications, pipelines, test infrastructure, schedulers, caches, and storage systems.
- Build observability, metrics, dashboards, and workflow automation for reliable, transparent, self-service SDLC operations.
- Operate and scale build and test infrastructure supporting a large monorepo and extensive automated test estate.
- Partner with developers through triage and user engagement and translate feedback into platform improvements.
- Address security, permissions, privacy, auditability, and responsible AI adoption in engineering solutions.
Requirements
- 5+ years of software development experience.
- Strong Java or Scala skills; Python is used as a secondary language for automation and integration tooling.
- Ability to design and develop scalable backend services, developer tooling, platform infrastructure, or automation solutions.
- Understanding of Git workflows, code review practices, build systems, CI/CD concepts, test infrastructure, and release automation.
- Strong debugging and analytical skills with experience owning complex issues across distributed systems, build environments, and developer workflows.
- Understanding of security, permissions, privacy, and auditability in engineering environments.
- Effective communication with technical users and stakeholders.
- Knowledge of French and English is required.
- Experience with large monorepos, custom build systems, distributed test execution, or dependency graph analysis is beneficial.
- Interest in applying AI-assisted software engineering tools safely and effectively across the SDLC.
