Responsibilities
- Develop and enhance on-machine software products for electron beam melting additive manufacturing systems.
- Design, build, test, and maintain Windows-based machine software primarily using C#/.NET.
- Develop and maintain Siemens PLC code in TIA Portal for machine control and future technology development.
- Implement software for process control, additive manufacturing data pre-processing, and post-processing.
- Define robust client-server interfaces and asynchronous communication mechanisms.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine requirements, solve technical problems, and deliver software increments.
- Create and maintain technical specifications, interface descriptions, and design documentation.
- Troubleshoot issues, improve machine functionality, and support software deployment in production environments.
- Share technical knowledge and coach team members on software development practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or another STEM-related field.
- Several years of professional software development experience in industrial systems, machine software, automation software, or similar technical environments.
- Strong hands-on experience with C#/.NET and object-oriented software development.
- Experience with or strong interest in PLC programming and industrial systems.
- Understanding of software development lifecycle, testing, maintainability, and software quality practices.
- Fluent English and strong collaboration and communication skills.
- Experience with Siemens PLCs, TIA Portal, Python, additive manufacturing, industrial machinery, or automation environments is desired.
- Knowledge of industrial communication protocols such as OPC UA or WebSocket is desired.
- Ability to work in a multidisciplinary environment combining software, hardware, and process engineering.
