Base Salary
$145k - $205k/yr
Responsibilities
- Maintain and evolve the Expo infrastructure, including upgrades and configuration
- Use React Native New Architecture and modern tooling such as React Profiler to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks
- Build and maintain iOS features including App Clips, Live Activities, and Widgets
- Work with Expo and Software Mansion partners by testing new releases and providing feedback
- Create tooling and infrastructure that improve mobile developer velocity and code quality
- Establish monitoring and observability systems for app performance, release health, and user experience metrics
- Collaborate with product engineers and infrastructure engineers on enabling infrastructure decisions
- Own and continuously improve the weekly app release process from build through store deployment
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience building mobile applications with React Native
- Experience with Expo and mobile build and deployment infrastructure
- Strong understanding of React Native New Architecture, React Compiler, and modern performance optimization techniques
- Experience improving developer experience through automation, observability systems such as Sentry, and infrastructure tooling
- Ability to automate, optimize, and empower engineering teams through tooling
- Strong ownership and ability to deliver ambitious outcomes on fast timelines
- Collaborative and pragmatic approach focused on outcomes
