Responsibilities
- Lead technical implementations to help the team deliver high-quality work on schedule.
- Use Golang to design, build, and maintain APIs, services, and integrations.
- Implement event-driven solutions for critical business processes.
- Create, maintain, and develop CI/CD pipelines.
- Build scalable software using AWS serverless technologies including Lambda, EventBridge, SQS, and DynamoDB.
- Maintain services with strong observability and proactive monitoring, and respond to incidents.
- Mentor and coach other engineers while improving engineering standards and best practices.
Requirements
- Experience in software engineering and writing production code in Golang or another strictly typed language.
- Experience with cloud-based serverless services such as AWS Lambda, Google Cloud Run, or Azure Functions.
- Demonstrable experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience designing and setting up databases, including understanding relational and non-relational approaches.
- Experience designing, building, and maintaining scalable APIs.
- Understanding of event-driven architecture concepts.
- Experience using Git and branching strategies.
- Experience applying quality and testing best practices, including unit and contract testing.
- Commercial awareness and creative problem-solving ability, including understanding business cost and value drivers.
