Responsibilities
- Design and build generative AI applications for complex financial and legal workflows.
- Drive the end-to-end model development lifecycle, including experimentation, training, testing, monitoring, and deployment.
- Establish best practices for reproducible research and model delivery.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to understand business problems and develop product-focused AI solutions.
- Translate complex problems into scoped bets and iterate on advanced research and AI approaches.
- Share ideas and work across the organization and help lead AI adoption at 9fin.
- Mentor teammates and contribute to a collaborative, fast-paced team environment.
Requirements
- Strong proficiency in Python for production-ready delivery.
- Deep expertise in at least one of information retrieval, entity or relationship extraction and resolution, knowledge graphs, recommendation and ranking systems, tabular machine learning, or statistical and predictive modeling.
- Understanding of information retrieval techniques such as chunking, embedding model fine-tuning, and re-ranker training.
- Knowledge of knowledge graph construction and inference, GraphRAG, recommendation systems, learning-to-rank, feed ranking, user modeling, feature engineering, structured data modeling, supervised machine learning, anomaly detection, or temporal modeling.
- Deep understanding of the generative AI landscape and agentic frameworks.
- Experience across the full model lifecycle, including experimentation, training, testing, monitoring, evaluation, and deployment.
- Strong product focus and interest in understanding the end-to-end impact of solutions on users.
- Good knowledge of AWS AI infrastructure.
