Base Salary

$190k - $252k/yr

Responsibilities

Help shape the technical direction of a small, high-impact team while remaining hands-on in design, implementation, and code review.
Mentor and uplevel junior and mid-level engineers through pair programming, code reviews, and technical guidance.
Write production-quality C++ and Python code that powers mission-critical systems.
Prototype software solutions in an agile development environment and guide the team from prototype to deployment.
Implement high-performance software for tactical systems and web applications.
Use modeling and simulation environments to quantify the benefits of technology.
Drive technical interchange meetings, sprint planning, and customer engagements.
Own all aspects of the software development lifecycle and navigate complex technical trade-offs.
Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to colleagues and non-technical stakeholders.

8+ years of software engineering experience and a Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
Demonstrated experience mentoring junior engineers and providing technical leadership.
Experience with large, complex codebases as part of a collaborative team.
Strong proficiency in C/C++ and Python.
Familiarity with big data/NoSQL/database technologies.
Experience in software design, algorithm implementation, and software analysis.
Knowledge of machine learning techniques and applied mathematics.
Understanding of engineering principles like controls and digital signal processing.
Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Top Secret SCI security clearance.
