Responsibilities
- Execute manual and automated test cases for Android applications.
- Uncover, document, track, and troubleshoot defects.
- Improve test execution efficiency, test coverage, and QA processes.
- Conduct functional, UI, exploratory, performance, load, stress, and API testing as applicable.
- Participate in requirements testing and quality activities throughout the development lifecycle.
- Develop and maintain automated test cases and frameworks using JavaScript, Python, Appium, or Selenium.
- Collaborate with developers and cross-functional teams in an iterative development environment.
- Mentor team members and provide guidance on QA best practices.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of software testing theory and best practices.
- Extensive experience testing the Android platform, including functional, UI, and exploratory testing.
- Deep understanding of Android architecture and system components.
- Proficiency with Android Studio, ADB, Firebase, and emulators for debugging and testing.
- Hands-on experience developing test cases and maintaining automation frameworks with JavaScript, Python, or Appium.
- Knowledge of automation tools such as Appium or Selenium.
- At least 3 years of QA experience within agile teams focused on mobile applications.
- Track record of owning QA processes and ensuring quality across the development lifecycle.
- Strong analytical, critical-thinking, organizational, prioritization, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Preferred experience with GitHub Actions or Jenkins, mobile performance testing, API testing with Postman or REST Assured, Firebase tools, iOS or iPadOS testing, and accessibility testing.
