Responsibilities
- Build and customise Shopify theme sections, templates, configurable settings, and new storefront features in Liquid.
- Develop maintainable component-based JavaScript or TypeScript code and participate in Git and pull request workflows.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot Shopify apps, themes, integrations, and Shopify admin issues.
- Test releases and features across browsers, devices, mobile experiences, checkout flows, and conversion paths.
- Create test plans, checklists, regression coverage, accessibility checks, reproducible bug reports, and test automation.
- Investigate and resolve support tickets and clearly communicate issues, remediation, and timelines to stakeholders.
Requirements
- 3+ years of hands-on Shopify development experience at an agency or brand running on Shopify.
- A portfolio demonstrating Shopify work and solid knowledge of Shopify themes, sections, templates, theme settings, and the Shopify admin.
- Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, Liquid, JavaScript or TypeScript, and lightweight client-side frameworks such as Stimulus or Alpine.js.
- Experience with responsive mobile-first development, test cases, regression checks, bug reporting, and WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility testing.
- Comfort troubleshooting unfamiliar issues, explaining technical problems to non-technical stakeholders, and using Git and pull requests.
- Experience using AI tools in development or testing workflows and writing organised, reusable, maintainable code.
- Preferred qualifications include Shopify Plus experience, CI/CD such as GitHub Actions, test automation with Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium, visual regression tools, Vite or webpack, and Shopify CLI or the Shopify Admin API.
