Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Product Security team to enhance cybersecurity across Emerson’s product portfolio.
- Assist with developing and implementing secure coding practices.
- Support efforts to meet regulatory compliance requirements.
- Contribute to secure software and firmware development within agile development processes.
- Communicate security findings and recommendations through written and verbal communication.
- Apply cybersecurity principles in a real-world product environment and collaborate with users and stakeholders.
Requirements
- Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in engineering.
- Zero years of applicable experience required.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States.
- Preferred: GPA of 3.0 or above and prior internship experience.
- Preferred: ABET-accredited degree in Computer, Electrical, or Software Engineering or Computer Science.
- Understanding of encryption, secure software development, and regulatory compliance is preferred.
- Student-level proficiency in a programming or scripting language such as C, C++, Python, or PowerShell is preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication, adaptability, teamwork, and willingness to learn.
