Base Salary
$58k - $105k/yr
Responsibilities
- Modernize the ERAM air traffic control system by improving system availability and performance.
- Develop and maintain FAA air traffic control software primarily in Ada95 and C++ on UNIX/Linux platforms.
- Support hardware, software, operating system, firmware, security, and Common Services upgrades.
- Develop and maintain FlightDeck middleware, APIs, simulations, and low-level communications software.
- Perform software development, debugging, automation, and system maintenance activities using Perl and Python where needed.
- Coordinate solutions and new capabilities with Systems Engineering and application teams.
- Leverage AI and machine learning concepts to improve software development processes and capabilities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering and 0–1 year of experience.
- Demonstrated software development skills and the ability to work across multiple programming languages.
- Strong debugging, problem-solving, verbal, and communication skills.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
- Preferred: hands-on software engineering experience outside academic internships, experience completing complex software development assignments, and leadership experience.

- U.S.-based position with an anticipated posting duration of at least three days.
- Annual pay range of $57,850.00–$104,575.00.
