Base Salary

$150k - $180k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to software developers across experience levels.
  • Design, build, maintain, and own platform features and modules handling millions of user records.
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineering teams to define requirements and technical solutions.
  • Write and review code, ship changes regularly, and maintain engineering quality standards.
  • Architect scalable, highly available, secure, and high-performance software solutions.
  • Set technical direction for User Domain and HRIS integration architecture and make architecture and technology decisions.
  • Lead cross-cutting engineering initiatives involving multiple teams and systems.
  • Monitor and optimize application performance, and document systems, designs, and decisions.
  • Drive engineering improvements through tooling, processes, and technology adoption.
  • Guide junior engineers on technical solutions and career development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or a related field.
  • At least 9 years of relevant development experience.
  • Demonstrated ownership of complex systems and experience driving technical direction.
  • Strong programming skills in Python or Go.
  • Expertise with Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Deep understanding of microservice architecture and distributed systems.
  • Experience with cloud platforms, with GCP strongly preferred and AWS acceptable.
  • Experience with performance profiling and benchmarking.
  • Ability to analyze business requirements and create architecture-compliant technical design documents.
  • Recognized expertise in one or more technical domains, with strong strategic and architectural vision.
  • Track record of driving technical excellence and engineering improvements.
  • Ability to work independently, shape project outcomes, and communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
