Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and test software solutions using industry-standard tools and methods.
  • Develop software components from detailed design through unit testing in line with software architectures.
  • Derive and manage software requirements and design solutions that meet operational needs.
  • Support software integration activities and resolve bugs identified during verification.
  • Collaborate with software development teams and Thales sites in the UK and overseas.

Requirements

  • Several years of software development experience within a solution development lifecycle for complex systems.
  • Demonstrable Java or C++ software development experience in a Linux environment.
  • Ability to derive and manage software requirements and design software solutions.
  • Experience using software development tooling such as IDEs, unit test frameworks, and static analysis tools.
  • Degree in a relevant subject such as Software Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Engineering.
  • Awareness of real-time constraints, software architectures, and design patterns is desirable.
  • Experience in defence or other engineering industries is desirable.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
